PETER BINAS

Peter is Schooner Capital’s Chief Investment Officer.  He has been with Schooner for over fifteen years and helped lead the firm’s transition back to direct investing.  Over the years, Peter has worked across the full range of the firm’s private and public investing efforts, including serving on multiple private company boards, leading or co-leading selected private investments (including Seventh Generation, acquired by Unilever, and RailComm, acquired by Tracsis), providing oversight and guidance to global investment efforts, and, most notably, launching and growing Schooner’s direct public equity strategy.  A Managing Partner, Peter leads Schooner’s global direct public equity investing program.  Prior to Schooner, Peter spent almost ten years with management consultancy McKinsey & Company.  He holds a joint JD/MBA from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker scholar, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with an AB degree in Economics and Social Studies from Harvard University.  He is also a proud alumnus and supporter of Camp Rising Sun.
